The Highlands Group is an international consulting network that has been interestingly termed an “intellectual capital venture firm” with extensive experience assisting corporations, organizations, and government leaders frame issues and consider alternatives in the achievement of their objectives. Requirements:
- To be able to enter the client’s original content using a content management system
- To change the static HTML site to a dynamic database-oriented site
Solution:
Since the Highlands Group gathers the smartest people in the world, put them in a room and let the innovative ideas flow; it is necessary to capture the ideas and keep the site updated. As a result, MMG came up with the idea of creating a simple, easy to use database-oriented system that could be managed by a non-technical individual.
We created a customized content management system using PHP and MySQL database protected by a login and password. Once the user logs in successfully, the user has access to the admin section of the website wherein the user can add, update or delete any record.
The system gives the user an ability to create a new event, update or delete an existing event, and also select the order of display of the event.
Since Highlands Group is connected to high profile clients from different backgrounds, the system gave them the ability to successfully upload excerpts from the books of clients featured on their site.
We were successfully able to change the static manually operated system to an automated dynamic system, for a non technical person to use with ease and comfort.

- Clients no longer had to rely on IT support to post their own content on their website
